Skills-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) at Babcock's Devonport site in Plymouth

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our second Skills-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) at Babcock's Devonport site in Plymouth. Developed in collaboration with Babcock International Group and the local Department for Work and Pensions, this initiative aims to equip unemployed individuals with valuable qualifications and skills to enhance their employability. The five-day programme offered participants the opportunity to:

• Achieve Level 1 Health and Safety qualification

• Earn Level 1 Employability qualification

• Attend sessions on workplace wellbeing and mindset coaching

• Gain first-hand experience of operations.

Participants also toured the Devonport production facility, witnessing the Jackal build programme in action. We are committed to supporting our local community and fostering workforce development. For more information on this please click here.
