Retail & Hospitality Traineeships

We are excited to be delivering retail and hospitality traineeships in partnership with Plymouth City Centre Company!

What is involved?

We will be offering 10+ places on our traineeships programme and learners will be provided with 6-8 weeks of classroom activity focused on either retail or hospitality. Work preparation courses include qualifications in:

  • Certificate in Understanding Excellence in Customer Service for Hospitality L2

  • Diploma in Customer Service L2

  • Diploma in Retail Skills L2

  • Certificate in Understanding Retail Operations L2

  • Award in Health and Safety Awareness L1

  • Award in Food Safety L1

  • Manual Handling/Slip, Trips and Falls

  • English, Maths, ESOL and Digital Skills

The aim is to provide our trainees with the skills and knowledge they need to be better prepared when going out on work placements and interviews.

What is required from a business?

We would ask businesses to provide:

  • An 81 hour work placement

  • PPE and suitable clothing

  • Transport costs are covered

Additional support for retailers:

  • Can be guided by YOUR training documents

  • Bespoke, role focussed pathway for learners

  • Shortlisted candidates for YOUR roles

Who is eligible?

  • You can apply if you are aged 19+ years old

  • Those aged 19-24 will be fully funded, including placement

  • Eligible to work in the UK
