Celebrating National Numeracy Day 2024!

To celebrate National Numeracy Day we held a Multiply engagement event at The Barn Community Café. The aim was to improve the understanding of maths in everyday life sparking better opportunities and a brighter future for all! We want to help empower adults and their children to enjoy numbers and be more confident with everyday maths.

All community members and café users were welcome and it spanned the café opening across to the lunch time as a drop in session event. It included counters, dice, darts and card games and there was a steady stream of interest with darts being the most popular activity.

National Numeracy Day is there to help empower everyone in the UK to have the numeracy skills that allow them to fulfil their potential​ at work, home and school.
